A recent trial in a Madison County Circuit courtroom resulted in a 42 month sentence, after James L. Griesbaum, 36, plead guilty to one count of aggravated driving under the influence resulting in death and one count of aggravated driving under the influence resulting in great bodily harm.
The car accident that resulted in the death of one woman happen on Route 160 near Highland, IL on Feb. 16, 2010. Griesbaum’s Ford F-150 crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with Barbara K. Green’s Dodge Dakota. Barbara, 56, was killed, while her passenger, her 82-year-old mother Ressie M. Woodcock, was seriously injured.
Griesbaum has been ordered to report to the Madison County Jail in Edwardsville, IL on Friday, July 26 to begin his sentence.
