Woman Involved in Missouri Car Accident Reunited With Lost Dog

Accidents can have all sorts of effects that you would not normally think of.

Mary Ellen Frazier, 57, was in St. Charles County on Interstate 70 on September 9. She was moving from Alabama to New Jersey, driving a Honda CRV. Frazier suddenly swerved out of the lane she was traveling in, clipping the back end of a truck. Her vehicle then left the road and flipped five times.

Frazier was in the hospital for several days and after she was discharged she stayed in a hotel. She was extremely concerned about her 6-year-old golden retriever, Bailey. The dog was in the vehicle at the time of the crash and ran off in the chaos that followed the crash.

Cindy Kielty of St. Charles, met Frazier last Friday. Frazier told her about the crash and the missing dog. Kielty’s husband is a former member of the St. Charles City Council and he contacted St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano.

On Monday Frazier was thrilled to learn that Animal Control officers in St. Peters had found her beloved dog. Ken Kielty told the newspaper “the mayor basically put out an APB on that dog.”

When Animal Control officers found the dog he was unharmed for the most part. He did not have any serious injuries but the pads on his feet were covered with abrasions, according to The St. Louis Post-Dispatch.  Animal Control officer Carol Schult told the paper “he apparently had been running up and down the highway” (looking for Frazier).

St. Louis Car Accident Lawyer

Accidents can have all sorts of effects that you would not normally think of. When we think of car accidents we think of whiplash injuries, not losing a beloved animal companion. But the trauma that accidents can cause can be multifold. Dealing with injuries, loss, pain, and suffering, time away from work, and the like, can be extremely difficult. In many cases, car accident victims are entitled to compensation from injuries sustained in the accident. This is especially true when the accident is caused by the negligent actions of another driver.

Contacting an experienced Missouri car accident attorney as soon as possible following an accident should be a top priority. The Hoffmann Law Firm, L.L.C. can help you and your family to get the compensation you deserve while you focus on recovery.
